The Writing Lab is located in the back of the Student Lounge on our South Campus (you have to enter the Student Lounge to get to the Writing Lab). Our writing instructors Mike Stice and Norman Leonard will work one-on-one with you on your writing, and personalized tutors are available for those in need. All of these services are free of charge to all who are currently enrolled in LCAD, and students may bring in any written work assigned for any LCAD class.

Students seeking help with paper revisions should come prepared to the Writing Lab with the following:

1) A copy of the assignment instructions 2) His or her latest draft of that assignment * 3) Any previous drafts, especially those bearing instructor comments

* Don’t come without writing to show us! If you’re having problems getting started, you should discuss this with your instructor.

The Lab operates on a first-come, first-served basis, so early arrival is highly recommended—especially during those weeks before essays are due. We have expanded hours during those busy times, but there are often lines, so plan ahead.

For more information about the Writing Lab, please contact Mike Stice, Writing Lab Director, at Mike Sticetice@lagunacollege.edu.
